Religious Question
When my wife said, "Oh angel, angel, angel, you'll save me'
in her sleep
I wondered who the hell this angel was and why
the Judeo-Christian-Islamic tradition is such a god-damned
chronic, infectious, unbeatable brain disease
that even my own true wife, my passionate atheist,
my politically anticlerical lover must dream
of an angelic love and savior to devil her sleep
and I must be jealous of her devilishly heavenly incubus.
